Scouting at Multiple Resolutions

Low Resolution

Rapidly scan the field – minimal overlap required.

Identify Targets

NS Pilot runs edge inference on your remote controller.

High Resolution

Mission is generated and executed in the same flight.

Why Agronomists Don’t Use Drones

Boots on the ground agronomists update their scouting mission as new data becomes available.

Using a drone, new data isn't seen or understood until after it's processed and analyzed off-site.

Pilots are forced to balance detail with volume – which explodes at the high resolution required for many tasks.

Drone flights normally require 70% side overlap to create an ortho map, meaning only 30% of the image width covers new ground.

How We Use Drones

We detect points of interest during a low-res scan to set the path for a high-res mission.

In a single flight, data is collected, processed, and analyzed – generating deliverables upon landing.

Multi-res scanning reduces data volumes by over 100× compared to a mapping mission at that same high resolution.

Missions can be performed on-foot using our scouting app when flying conditions are poor.

Field Scouting App

Open Source · Always Free

Our missions are based on real-life agronomic “missions” and can be executed by a human, without a drone, using a mobile device.

We also offer drone-based scouting services which feed into the app, letting you visit any observation made by NS Pilot.
